I understand the edit — and the channel around it.

I'm Charlie, a freelance video editor, channel manager and YouTube specialist with experience working across some of the UK's biggest creator-led channels.

I spent nearly three years working with Rick Shiels Media, developing a particular expertise in long-form golf content and an understanding of what makes videos work in one of YouTube's most competitive spaces. Alongside editing for creators across sport and entertainment, I've also managed the Beh2inga YouTube channel, giving me experience across the wider process of running and growing a channel.

My understanding of YouTube also comes from being a creator myself. I've organically grown my own channel to over 400,000 subscribers, giving me a deep understanding of the platform from both sides of the process.

I like to understand why a video works, not just how it looks — from storytelling and pacing to audience retention, analytics and overall channel performance.
